Diana of team Little Lefty, “I walk/run in the Gibbons race for my beautiful toddler boy, Nicholas, whose life was cut short by Leukemia. His battle was short but difficult. It ended before I was ready to give up fighting. I watched him undergo brutal treatments and endure painful side effects so the least I can do it put on my running shoes and run a 5K to find a cure!
But I also walk/run for my girls Lexi and Samantha, so that one day, they don’t have to worry about this disease. I don’t want them to worry about it for themselves or their future families.
We need to find a cure – so that all families can know if anyone they love is afflicted with a blood cancer – they will win!”
