#WhyIamRunning Cathy runs in memory of her Dad

why running cathy wetnic

“After my dad was diagnosed with leukemia, he fought hard and long. He took part in trials of new medicines and also had a bone marrow transplant. In addition to his own fight, he decided to join the leukemia and research foundation in their efforts to raise awareness and funds. He started a road rally, which raised money and joined a lot of motorcyclists in the fight against leukemia. He was so dedicated to this rally and this cause! I’ve signed up every year for the Jim Gibbons 5k since his passing. Whether I’ve run or not, I dedicate my bib each year to my dad.”
