Michelle and her siblings during treatment!
“Well I will try to make this short. I was diagnosed in February 2012 with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, then again in July 2013 and have been in remission now for six months after a stem cell transplant in December 2013. It has been a very long hard road but I could not have made it through this without the support of my family, friends, the doctors, nurses, or the Leukemia Research Foundation. While I was sick my sister Debbie connected with several people from the foundation and we attended a few seminars so that we could understand my cancer better and see how others were dealing with this disease.
Michelle in remission!
Being a survivor and participating in the Jim Gibbons Run/walk makes me feel so good about how far I have come, it leaves a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart to see how many people come together to help me and others just like me get through this very difficult time in our lives!”
Thank you, Michelle Murphy
