We Walk for Papa! Two years ago my dad passed away from Leukemia. It was so aggressive that we didn’t even have the time to discuss the option of chemo before it was too late – the time from his diagnosis to his passing was less than two weeks. I miss him every day and keep his memory alive in every way possible, not just for me, but for my mother, my siblings, and my children. My children are the reason that funding Leukemia research is so important. They deserved to know their Papa, to play with him, to laugh with him, and to love him, but they were robbed of that. Research is the only way to ensure a future where treatments, cures, and survivors outnumber the victims of this relentless disease.
